Rick has been released as the newest addition to MultiVersus, the platform fighting game feature icons from Warner Bros. The game's official website lists Rick as a Mage/Ranged class, while Morty and Lebron are both Bruisers. The older and more chaotic half of the sci-fi duo, Rick makes his debut in MultiVersus, a complex portal-slinging force that contends with WB's best. Keep in mind there is a possibility this means the characters will release at some point in Season 1. So be ready to grind it out for a while or fork over your wallet.īoth Rick and Morty were slated to arrive "in Season 1," which begins on August 8. Though it's not been confirmed, given the inherent popularity Lebron James has, and the fact that he's new, chances are he'll be a locked character. However, since this is a free-to-play game, many of the characters are locked and require a good amount of in-game currency to make them playable. Lebron James releases that same day, so eager fans won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on him. ![]() MultiVersus is currently in early access, however, the 'open beta', which will be available to all for free, is starting very soon July 26, 2022. Nearly 20 characters in this list have yet to be officially revealed, all of which you can see here. Lebron, Rick, and Morty were all included in the said leak, which lends it further credibility. The leak came from a data miner who had previously leaked the game's existence before it was revealed. These three characters align with a past leak, which showed off a large list of fighters that would supposedly be coming to the game. But don't get too excited, NBA fans, MultiVersus confirmed it's not the legend himself, but instead voice actor John Bentley. ![]() The trailer also shows that Lebron, like the rest of the cast, is fully voice-acted. Sometimes he throws it in certain directions but doesn't get it back immediately, and he then has to jump to recover it. It seems the ball will be some sort of permanent item his gameplay is centered around, and not just a visual flair. Indeed, it's clear Lebron will have some sort of ranged attack, as he's seen multiple times throwing the ball to his enemies. As you can see, Lebron's move set is based almost entirely on him playing basketball, his various attacks resulting from him hitting you with the ball as he performs dribble moves, slam dunks, and even passes. ![]()
